Channeling

Channeling. Ever wondered what that word means?

To be a channel. Like a T.V.? With Channel 13, 12, 24, 2, 187? Running the morning show, Eleven O’Clock News, Dancing With the Stars, Gilmore Girls or reruns of Little House on the Prairie. These images and sounds coming in on little invisible waves or frequencies.

We keep coming up with new words and new meanings for old words. Did we have the word, channeling, in the 19th Century? Did dinosaurs channel? Do the whales?

A lot of writers and artists feel like they channel their work. But is that the same as someone who believes they channel guides, spirit beings, or a group from the Andromeda Galaxy?

I’m interested in channelers and their experiences. I’m interested in young channelers who may be feeling alone out there. Maybe they  wonder if anyone else has had the same things happening, and because it seems totally weird, never discuss it with anyone.

I always thought I was immensely imaginative. I heard poems and wrote things that the me who is aware of things couldn’t even remember writing. I’d read something and go, I wrote that? Then I figured if I told anybody the words just came out of me (I mean, I wrote in Danish once and I don’t know Danish), they’d think something must be seriously wrong.

But then every once in awhile I’d hear others talk about their experiences as artists, hearing characters speaking in their heads and having characters not shut up until their words were put down on paper.

Is that a form of channeling? I don’t know, but I bet a lot of folks have opinions and experiences with this sort of thing, and I bet it doesn’t matter what age you are to have it happen. I’m curious and I’d like to hear from others out there. So, please get on my wavelength and give me some feedback.

Harry Potter

If Harry Potter created his own POFFF, what would it be? A muggle spot, dragon island, Quiddich oasis?

If Harry had his own POFFF, he might have some place to go whenever he felt weak, or unable to confront a particular challenge–like say, a potions test. He could relax in his POFFF, build his power, find some magical beings to be his allies, and drink a goblet or two of confidence potion to give him the guts to face Voldemort.

The POFFF Master sets a challenge… who can use the comments after this post to create a POFFF suitable for Harry? The top three will be posted on this site. The winner will get to discuss some prize options with the POFFF Master. And if it’s a winning video you create, post it on youtube & give us the link so we can broadcast it far & wide.

Hello world!

Fairyscape Night

I kind of like saying hello to the world. Hola. Bonjour. Aloha

Lots of ideas about this place rolling around inside. That’s where it all starts… inside. That’s the first place of fulfillment–the place of conception.

There’s not always going to be writing here. Sometimes it’ll be a picture or two. Something to elicit your feeling sense. Or something to send you inside to your divine connection, safe haven, gestating island, refuge.

And if you come here feeling particularly off, down, frightened, poopy, this promises to be a place where feelings can change through various means…

So my first question is (as POFFF master), are you breathing?

Put one hand on your heart and one hand on your stomach and notice yourself. How is your breath? Fast? Jerky, jumpy and irate? Keep noticing… Does your breath change as you notice it? Are you changing it or is it changing by itself?

When you feel bad, what do you do? Anyone care to share something you’ve learned that helps turn the tide into a different kind of vibe? (Yes, this place is about vibes, too & you can ask me about them)

What’s that?

Tee hee hee.

Tee hee hee? Oh. Duh. Somebody somewhere’s up to a bit of mischief. Fairies are particularly known for that. They ask you to laugh, like when you go to take a drink of water and it goes all over your shirt, or you choke while drinking pop because you’re laughing so hard and the fizz comes through your nose.

We, here at the POFFF, invite you to find something to tee hee hee har har har ha ha haaaaa about right now…

Happy Trails…

The Piped Piper of the POFFF
